جيش واحد يخضع لحكومة مدنية منتخبة؛ لا قوات متنازعة، ولا جيش يحكم.A single army answerable to an elected civilian government, not competing forces, and not an army that governs.

دولة التزامها الأول تجاه المواطن: مواطنة متساوية، وأمن، وخدمات، قبل مطالب الفصيل أو الجهة.A state whose first obligation is to the citizen, equal standing, security and services, before the claims of faction or region.
وضعته مسيرته عند تقاطع العسكرية والسياسة المدنية، والمعارضة والحكومة، والحرب والوساطة. ومن تلك التجربة ينادي بتسوية سياسية تنهض على واقع السودان الوطني ومصلحة أهله.His career has placed him at the intersection of the military and civilian politics, opposition and government, war and mediation. From that experience he argues for a political settlement grounded in Sudan's national realities and the interests of its people.
